As part of my search across Western Pennsylvania for the perfect pizza, I recently tried the pepperoni and sausage pizza from John’s Pizzeria in Saltsburg. This pizza has some great qualities and comes in at a solid 6.7, which I consider a very good rating.

The Pizza Evaluation

Crust: Soft and doughy texture. Works well with the pizza’s other components. Perfect for those who enjoy a softer crust.

Sauce: Leaned on the saucy side, with a bold, fresh flavor. Adds to the overall classic pizza feel.

Cheese: Stretchy consistency with a satisfying pull in each slice. Blends nicely with the sauce and toppings.

Toppings: Pepperoni and sausage are well-distributed. Balanced nicely with the doughy base and saucy layers.

Overall Impression

John’s Pizzeria offers a pizza experience that’s well above average in taste and incredibly affordable. For under $16, I got a generous 16-cut pizza with two toppings—one of the best deals around. With a 6.7 rating, I’d gladly drive 30 minutes for this classic, filling, and budget-friendly pizza.
